PAINTED OAK RIDGE CARROLL, IA
This is our growing herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats - all are registered with ADGA.  Our goats are well cared for and usually spoiled!  We love our goats and continue to add to our herd as our children are getting older and showing them in 4-H.  Kidding season is our favorite time of year although quite stressful with many walks to and from the barn to see how everyone is doing, especially when we have first fresheners getting ready to kid.
We added barn cameras in 2018 so I could keep an eye on everyone from work!

All of our goats tested CAE negative on 2/7/19!

Elsa was our first goat purchased as a weanling. Elsa lost a set of quads during birth in 2018 but quickly started feeding some of the other babies since she was missing her own.  Elsa has a piece of my heart and has always been a quiet, friendly little goat.  Tulip (below) is a daughter of Elsa and has inherited Elsa's personality.

Diamond and Sapphire are twins. Diamond is a tri-color and has a sweet personality like her dam.  Diamond is an excellent mother and her milk production is excellent for her smaller size! Diamond won Reserve Grand Champion at our 2019 County Fair!

Sapphire is also a tri-color with less defining markings.  She's the quieter of the twins and a little shy.  Sapphire has given us quadruplets her last 2 kiddings.

Tulip is one of our daughter's 4-H goats.  She won Reserve Grand Champion dairy goat in 2017 and Grand Champion in 2018 at our county fair.  She was an excellent first freshener and we were very impressed with her udder. Tulip still thinks she fits in our laps!!

Fancy is our daughter's other 4-H goat.  She won Grand Champion dairy goat in 2017 and Reserve Champion in 2020 at our county fair and was an excellent first time mom to triplets.  Her first freshener udder was not as impressive as Tulip's but her 2nd freshener udder did not disappoint!

Clover is our son's 4-H goat.  She won 3rd place in her class at our 2018 county fair as a 10 month old against older dairy goats.  She has great length of body and a very dairy build.  She was an excellent first freshener and did a wonderful job with her twins.

We purchased Nellie from another breeder as a 2nd 4-H goat for our son and also to bring in some new genetics to our herd. Nellie is a beautiful tri-color who loves to be around people. Nellie did an excellent job as a first freshener and took great care of her two kids. Nellie brought home the Grand Champion Dairy Goat trophy at our County Fair in 2020.

We purchased Thunder as a bottle baby and he's absolutely spoiled. He recently found out how much he likes the ladies and is constantly courting them through the fence! He's a gorgeous and friendly little buck! We are loving Thunder's 2020 babies so much - all 4 of them were polled!
